Alexis was born and raised in Durban, South Africa, and moved to the US to attend undergraduate studies in Boston, MA. She knew that she wanted a career in which she could interact and care for people, and chose dentistry because of the long-term relationships that dentists can form with their patients. She studied dentistry at the University of Washington School Of Dentistry, and after graduating spent 6 years practicing in Seattle, before relocating to Northern Virginia with her family.
Alexis provides comprehensive dental care to all of her patients, earning their trust by advocating only what is best for their health. She wants patients to feel comfortable and cared for, and wants every trip to see her to be a positive experience for them. She takes pride in her strong clinical skills, and continuously keeps herself up to date with the latest research and training. Alexis is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the American Society of Forensic Odontology.
Outside of work, Alexis spends all of her free time with her husband, two children, and two dogs, and enjoys cooking, traveling, and buying way more plants than she has space for.
